William Angliss Institute @ SLIIT offers a variety of courses related to the dynamic needs of the industry. The programs offered include the Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management (2 years), Certificate IV in Commercial cookery (18 months), Certificate IV in Patisserie (18 months) and Diploma of Event Management which is a part time 2 years course. The curriculum is conducted in English, with English support provided and students have possible Degree pathways in Australia. Recently William Angliss Institute @ SLIIT introduced the Diploma in Event Management that provides professional training for individuals who are interested in organising functions, media events and conventions.
The institute is planning to commence Certificate IV in Patisserie at the end of September, 2019. This program is ideal for a person having a sweet tooth and a passion for savories and desserts.
With the development of the hospitality industry in Sri Lanka, there is a huge demand for skilled enthusiastic people to join the industry. Requirements to join
The required qualification to register for a course, a candidate must have five passes from G.C.E. (O./L.) Examination, including English Language as one of the subjects offered for the examination and the passion and a good attitude towards the industry. Competency in the English language is required as the curriculum is in English. William Angliss Institute @ SLIIT has three intakes per year, in February, June and September.
