As Sri Lanka’s trendsetter in high quality transnational education, ANC sets itself apart in a number of ways, including student support services. ANC awards approximately LKR 10 million in scholarships annually, with students receiving merit based and extracurricular achievement based scholarships.
In addition to merit- and need-based scholarships, low interest student loans and easy payment plans are available for any student seeking financial assistance. Scholarship admissions are open for the upcoming semester-fall 2018, and priority will be given to those applications on file by 30th August.
21 students out of 65 freshmen accepted last summer have received merit- and need-based scholarships. Sachin Shashitharan, a past student of Elizabeth Moir School, was given a merit scholarship worth LKR 400,000 in recognition of his outstanding performance (obtaining 3 “A”s) at London ALs: “I’m grateful to ANC for the generous scholarship which encourages my pursuit of higher education… I’m enrolled on US Transfer Degree Program; ANC offers the convenience of studying in Sri Lanka for two years before transferring to the US. Besides its financial benefit, ANC assists us with completing General Education classes while maintaining a satisfactory GPA, which in turn will help us transfer to a reputed US/ Canadian university, with a scholarship, says Sachin.
Aqeel and Mohamed Raiaan from Gateway College, Naura and Zainab from Stafford International, Ramith and Shimra from Lyceum International School, Hitheshi and Panchalee, past students of St. Bridgets Convent, Oshini from Royal Institute, Seleena from Bishops College, and Shaivi from Colombo International School, who joined ANC right after their London OLs and ALs are also among the recipients of ANC scholarships for summer 2018.
ANC Education, since its inception in 2002, has offered several avenues of assistance that enhances the academic success of every student. The merit scholarship program was introduced in an effort to meet the needs of promising and deserving students seeking a challenging college experience. Recipients are identified through evaluation of admission application materials including academic achievement, extracurricular activities, awards, honors, etc. Students who receive scholarships are supported until they complete their undergraduate studies provided that they remain inspired and maintain the required grade point average (GPA).
