The Second Panel Discussion by ANC School of Postgraduate Education

ANC School of Postgraduate Education ensures that there are many opportunities to enhance the learning experience of every student alongside the outstanding and innovative Master’s programs in business, law, and psychology offered in collaboration with the University of West London (UWL). The panel discussion on the topic of “Disruptive Technology and Digital Revolution: Sri Lanka’s Advantage” inspired in-depth dialogue and novel perspectives on why we all are forced to be adaptive in technological evolution.
Mr. Marcelline Alexander, the Head of ANC postgraduate business programs, moderated the panel composed of a highly respected academic and three professionals from top corporates reputed for the best of innovation and technology: Dr. Suresh Gamlath (DEAN – Claude Littner Business School of UWL); Mr. Rajitha Dahanayake (Founder/CEO – eMarketingeye); Mr Faththi Mohamed (Co-Founder – PickMe); and Mr. Inthiquab Haddard (Director of Operations – WSO2).
It was discussed that the world of advanced technology has posed a big challenge to the traditional structures of business today, and many emerging technologies have the potential to disrupt the status quo, change the way we think, work, and live. In this context, the panel discussed how local businesses can benefit from new technology by looking beyond long-established business structures-how Sri Lanka could create the advantage and be ready for these disruptive technologies.
This was the second panel discussion organized by ANC School of Postgraduate Education this year. The positive feedback from both undergraduate and postgraduate students, alumni, and staff on the first event focused on “HR Challenges at the 21st Century Workplace” encouraged ANC to consider a series of events of the same nature; plans are under way to hold two more panel discussions/ workshops related to LLM and MBA-Hospitality Management programs. ANC, through its holistic approach to education, will continue to produce enterprising and resourceful graduates who are effective in employment and ready to serve their communities.
